Kaleigh is so grateful to contribute to the work of the NABS board, and to serve the Federation in this new role. She first found the Federation in 2020 when she, along with their legal team, filed federal class complaints against the College Board, challenging their decision to revoke critical accommodations for blind students taking the Advanced Placement exams that May. She is honored to have received a national scholarship in 2021, and to have had the opportunity to intern with the Governmental Affairs division in 2023. She is now a senior at Villanova University, pursuing two majors and five minors with aspirations to become a disability rights attorney and follow in the footsteps of one of her Federation mentors and role models, Tim Elder. She serves as the Chair of the NABS Advocacy Committee, and continues her disability rights work on her college campus as President of its student disability organization, having edited and directed a documentary detailing the injustices faced by blind women in other countries. In her free time, Kaleigh enjoys songwriting, creative writing, and watching any and all programming tied to the Bachelor franchise.
